MASECO Private Wealth (MASECO) has chosen platform intelligence provider Voyant UK to deliver financial planning strategies to its international clients.
MASECO primarily specialises in implementing tax-efficient wealth management solutions to American citizens living in the UK.
As part of the link-up, it will use elements of Voyant's UK and US software to identify client needs.
"Americans living in the UK have highly specific investment requirements due to their exposure to dual taxation," says Voyant UK COO Bob Freeman.
"By combining the advisory expertise of MASECO with the sophisticated and interactive technology of Voyant, the result is a really powerful solution for the international community."
US residents living in this country are currently taxed on worldwide income and gains by the US and could also be liable for similar taxes here.
Through Voyant, MASECO will be able to demonstrate future planning scenarios, such as potential "return home date" and illustrate the importance of investing in the right products and using the most tax-efficient wrappers.
"Depending on how long a client is planning on being in residence in a particular international location, they may earn more investing in a product with less potential upside growth but a more efficient offshore tax wrapper," says MASECO managing partner James Sellon.
"Voyant is great for visually demonstrating the alternatives, showing our specialism in this area, and importantly gaining the clients trust."
With their knowledge of both markets, Voyant and MASECO are also working with fund providers and product distributors to allow clients to see the potential impact of specific international products on overall investment plans.
Voyant first entered the UK market in June 2009 with the launch of adviser technology solution Voyant Adviser Suite.
