EFAMA elects new President
The European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA) has elected Claude Kremer as its next two-year term President. Two new Vice-Presidents were also elected, Christian Dargnat and Massimo Tosato. President Kremer was Chairman of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) for four years. He is also a founding partner and Head of Investment Management at the law firm of Arendt & Medernach, based in Luxembourg.  Mr Kremer confirms that during his term of office he will support a high level of investor protection; promote the completion of an effective single market for investment management and the creation of a level playing field for competing saving and investment products, as well as strengthen the competitiveness of the industry. http://www.efama.org

VAM bolsters sales team                                                                                VAM Funds has made two appointments to bolster its institutional sales team. Chris Leyshon joins the Institutional Sales Europe division and will focus on high-net worth clients, private banks and large institutional investors. Nigel Watson has been appointed International Sales Director to help bolster VAM Funds’ expansion in the institutional market and develop the company’s sales strategy. http://www.vam-funds.com
