EFAMA elects new President
The European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA) has elected Claude Kremer as its next two-year term President. Two new Vice-Presidents were also elected, Christian Dargnat and Massimo Tosato. President Kremer was Chairman of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) for four years. He is also a founding partner and Head of Investment Management at the law firm of Arendt & Medernach, based in Luxembourg.  Mr Kremer confirms that during his term of office he will support a high level of investor protection; promote the completion of an effective single market for investment management and the creation of a level playing field for competing saving and investment products, as well as strengthen the competitiveness of the industry. http://www.efama.org

VAM bolsters sales team                                                                                VAM Funds has made two appointments to bolster its institutional sales team. Chris Leyshon joins the Institutional Sales Europe division and will focus on high-net worth clients, private banks and large institutional investors.
