Recycling fund benefits from growing investor interest

Isle of Man-based Premier Group’s ‘recycling’ fund celebrates its third anniversary by announcing total returns in excess of 40%. The New Earth Solutions Recycling Facilities Investment Sub Fund has raised £70.7m since it was established back in 2008.

The Premier Group launched the fund in conjunction with New Earth Solutions Group, a waste treatment and renewable energy specialist. The fund benefits from the demand to reduce landfill disposal and increase waste management facilities across the UK.

The fund is a sub fund of the Premier Investment Opportunities Fund, which is quoted on the Channel Islands Stock Exchange, and qualifies as an investment within a UK Self Invested Personal Pension (SIPP). Qualifying investors need to make a minimum investment of £10,000 (or currency equivalent) if held directly or £5,000 (or currency equivalent) if held in a life assurance bond.

David Whitaker, Director at Premier said, “We launched the Fund to provide investors with an opportunity to obtain long term capital growth by investing in proven, effective and efficient waste management schemes. This is a unique investment proposition which enables investment into progressive waste management and renewable energy projects.”

The Fund invests in New Earth’s recycling and waste management facilities in the UK, and since the launch the company has grown to operating five plants, with 4.7 million tonnes of waste contracted through a portfolio of local authority contracts.
The Premier Group specifically targets qualifying and specialist investor clients of professional intermediaries throughout the world. Funds under management have grown to approximately £500m, since the first fund launch back in 2001.
