VAM Funds is launching a Luxembourg-based UCITS IV A share class of its International ex-USA Growth fund.
The Fund originally opened in the VAM Funds SICAV in July 2010 as a sub-fund of the VAM Driehaus Fund and invests in ex-USA companies with market capitalisations generally above $500m.
‘‘We are opening the A share class in response to increased demand from distributors that have been looking to fill the gap in the market for a global ex-USA investment product. We picked DCM as investment manager for several reasons, one notably being the +14% annualized returns its International Discovery Strategy has generated since its inception on the 1st of January 1999,” said Michael Hunt, managing director of VAM Funds,
Managed by Dan Rea of Driehaus Capital Management, features of the International ex-USA Fund include a bottom up oriented growth stock picking approach that invests across small, mid and large cap companies. It employs the Driehaus International Discovery Strategy and maintains a fully invested portfolio, generally holding 70-90 securities. The fund seeks long term alpha generation.
The minimum investment is US$10,000. There is a 5% initial charge, 2.25% annual management charge and a 15% performance fee, subject to a 12% hurdle.
VAM is a specialist investment business that works in partnership with selected fund managers to offer a range of single strategy funds, managed funds, Bond Funds & Commodities Equity Funds.
The VAM fund range is currently managed in conjunction with five fund management businesses: Driehaus Capital Management LLC, Fleming Family & Partners, Valu-Trac Investment Management, Enhanced Investment Products limited ( EIP), Peers SA.
