New MD for Neuberger Berman in German and Austria

Asset managers Neuberger Berman has appointed Robert Schlichting as its Managing Director and Head of Distribution in Germany and Austria.

Schlichting joins Neuberger Berman from Schroder Investment Management, where he was Head of Institutional Business for the same two European countries. Prior to that Schlichting was with Merrill Lynch Investment Management and JP Morgan Asset Management.
 
Advisers can contact Schlichting at his base in Frankfurt. On taking up his appointment, he said, "I am delighted to join Neuberger Berman given the firm's extensive investment capabilities and client-centric approach that will appeal to both German and Austrian clients."
 
Neuberger Berman is a leading private, independent employee-controlled asset management firm, managing approximately $183 bn in assets (as of 30/9/11). The firm provides a broad range of global investment solutions to institutions and individuals through customised separately managed accounts, mutual funds and alternative investment products.
