 The Judge’s View

Derek Bradley, CEO of PanaceaIFA

“Derek is a true champion for the IFA industry. In his passion for fairness he goes where others fear to tread, helping fellow IFAs seek fairness. If ever there was an unsung hero it’s Derek. It is my hope that he will become an inspiration to others, much like his local IFA inspiring Derek himself all those years ago to become who he is today.”

The nominator’s view

Alan Lakey, director at CI Expert

“The Financial Services industry comprises all sorts. There are a great many that recognise that the current system of regulation, consumer protection and adviser processes is deeply flawed. Unfortunately, not many are prepared to do anything to redress these imbalances. Even fewer are prepared to do so without payment and fewer still at financial expense to themselves, particularly without having any direct personal interest in the outcomes. In short, working in the interests of fairness. Derek Bull is one such person who acts as legal guru calling on skills from legal training and years of administrative work within IFA practices.”

Derek Bull

I have had dealings with Derek, and I endorse all that is said about him. He has provided astonishing amounts of time and expertise to lots of people for very little reward and his integrity and support for the fundamental value of Liberty - upon which all other values flow - is a lesson that could be well learned by the current reulatory Stasi.

Unsung hero

Another fine person fighting our cause and injustice. The industry are not aware of people like him as they never blow their own trumpet and look for recognition. Well done and best of luck for the future.Unfortunately those employed in cushy numbers in the Government, FSA etc never take any notice.

Hi Derek

If you are reading this, would be good to make contact. Well done and am only sorry I had never heard of you and your good works before. I sat in the FSA Annual Public Meeting last year and listened to Sants and Turner use the word "misselling" on numerous occassions and in a highly misleading way. It is so difficult to challenge. DEREK BULL

I can think of no other person who deserves this accolade more than Derek. His dedication to the IFA is outstanding. He has been one of the very few people who has supported many IFA's including myself over the past years. When you are backed up against a wall and under pressure from regulation issues and complaints Derek has on numereous occasions been there to support you mentally and assist in finding a way round the system. His dedication , professionalism and support is an inspiration to us all. He puts many hours of research and back up all at no cost. He deserves much more praise and thanks that I could possibly provide. He continues to pursue the IFA's Human Rights Issues and is an example to those others in the industry. Congratualtions Derek it is a great honour to meet someone as honest and genuine as yourself.
