The outlook for property and asset allocation will be among the key topics at Professional Adviser's first investment roadshow featuring Gartmore, Legal & General Investment Management, Threadneedle, Investec and LV=AM.
Leading fund managers from each of the groups will be participating in the six half-day events, which will be taking place around the UK in February and March.
fund5live kicks off in Edinburgh on 23 February before traveling to Harrogate, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and London. Places are free for advisers whose primary business is investment.
Gartmore Investment Management's Chris Burvill will talk about the opportunity for Cautious Managed funds, while Dan Jordison, managing director of Threadneedle Property Investments, will assess the outlook for real estate and property.
L&GIM's Richard Hughes, head of High Alpha Fixed Income and manager of a range of fixed income funds for the group, will discuss how the fixed income markets are developing.
The head of Investec's Contrarian team, Alastair Mundy, who manages a range of portfolios including the Investec UK Special Situations fund, will look at the outlook for UK equities and in particular high yielding stocks.
Mark Pearce, an investment specialist at Threadneedle, with particular expertise in the emerging market and corporate debt markets, will also speak at some of the events to talk about these areas.
Last but not least, Institute of Financial Planning (IFP) chief executive Nick Cann will be chairing all six events as well as speaking about what firms can do to ensure they are fully RDR compliant by the end of 2012.
