Schroders has expanded Johanna Kyrklund’s multi-asset team with the appointment of Matthias Scheiber as fund manager.
Scheiber joins from Aethra Asset Management where he was a partner and fund manager responsible for managing absolute return mandates and a hedge fund, as well as setting up a qualitative and quantitative investment process.
He will report to head of multi-asset Kyrklund (pictured).
He has previously worked for Fortis Investments as a portfolio manager and strategist, and for ABN Amro Asset Management.
Nico Marais, head of multi-asset investment and portfolio solutions, said: “Our multi-asset business has grown rapidly over the past five years and we are keen to build on this momentum.
"We continue to deepen our multi-asset investment process especially in the area of research and product innovation and Matthias will be a key contributor to this.
“Together with our recent hires, Aymeric Forest, Rob Hall and Garth Taljard, Matthias’ appointment serves to significantly strengthen our multi-asset investment capability.”
