Gilliat Financial Solutions has launched its latest range of Capital Protection Studies aimed at the adviser market.

The studies not only explain how the protection works but also look at how the protection would have performed for every possible five- and six-year cycle (the terms usually found in structured products) since inception of each of the indices.

Adrian Neave, managing director of Gilliat Financial Solutions, said: “We’re constantly striving to offer advisers more. We know how busy our clients are and so it’s our responsibility as providers to make all the resources they might need readily available.

“We often get asked questions about capital protection and much has been made in the media of advisers’ alleged lack of understanding of structured products in general.

“These Capital Protection Studies are an excellent reference point for any question relating to capital protection and they give an in-depth look at how the barriers performed in the past.

“We have not only produced these for the indices we use in our own products but for a variety of indices often found in structured products.”

The Capital Protection Studies are available for the FTSE 100, S&P 500, EPRA, Dow Jones Euro Stoxx 50, MSCI Emerging Markets, Nikkei 225 and S&P GSCI.

They can be downloaded free from: www.gilliat.co.uk.
