Schroders has promoted Rob Hall to head of multi-manager and handed him co-manager responsibilities on a trio of funds.
Reporting to Johanna Kyrklund, head of multi-asset investments, Hall will now co-manage the Schroders Cautious Managed, Strategic Balanced and High Alpha funds alongside Jane Turner.
Hall, who joined Schroders from Russell Investments in March of this year as head of manager selection, will also take on client service responsibilities as part of his new role.
Schroders merged its multi-manager and multi-asset teams in March under the direction of Kyrklund, a move which saw former multi-manager head Andrew Yeadon leave the firm.
The company said at the time that there was "no longer a need for a head of multi-manager", but Kyrklund described Hall's promotion as a natural next step.
"In his role as head of manager selection, Rob has been researching and selecting managers while working closely with our asset allocation team. Therefore it was a natural progression that he continue this role but also be made head of multi-manager", Kyrklund said.
