Origen Financial Services, an Aegon-owned national IFA, today launches Annuitas, an annuity and advice service aimed at IFAs.

Advisers can refer clients to Annuitas specialists in order to access the open market option when purchasing annuities.

"This service will greatly assist the small to medium size IFA business where annuities are non core or the adviser simply wants to take advantage of our specialist knowledge and expertise," says Rob Tinsley, head of retirement strategy at Origen (pictured).

"This is an increasingly complex area where advice is crucial and this new service will be committed to helping IFAs and their clients exercise the open market option simply and effectively "

Origen also announces its sponsorship of online business resource and community PanaceaIFA.com, which will market Annuitas to IFAs.

"I am delighted to see Origen, one of the UK's largest annuity specialists, supporting the IFA community in this way," says Derek Bradley, chief executive of PanaceaIFA.com.

"The launch of Annuitãs through PanaceaIFA.com will enable our member firms, many of which are small businesses, to manage their ‘At Retirement' business risk effectively, meet TCF principles and conduct annuity business in a profitable manner."
