This week's Retirement Planner quick-fire poll asks: Do you believe falling annuity rates could have a bigger impact on clients' retirement income than the current market volatility?
In last week's poll we asked whether clients on a fixed income understand the effect inflation can have on their purchasing power over the long term.
One third (33%) of those who took part in the poll said their clients did understand the potential impact inflation could have on a fixed income.
However, more worringly over half (51%) said they didn't think their clients understood the issue.
A further 16% of those who answered the poll admitted they didn't know their clients' level of understanding about the matter.
