Direct Life & Pension (DLP) is launching a series of protection training workshops across the UK during April.

The five free, half-day training events sponsored by Bupa will concentrate on how to "build a great business with great advice", with particular emphasis on how advisers can compete with online competition through the use of a "rounded" protection sale.

DLP says the events, held under the LifeQuote brand, are open to all protection writers as well as those looking to enter or return to advising on protection.

Head of new business at LifeQuote Phil Jeynes says: "In order to compete now and post RDR in the protection market, advisers need to up their game and demonstrate to their clients that there is more to protection than simply price.

"We want to help give advisers the tools to do just that."

The workshops will take place on Warrington, Harrogate, Birmingham, Bristol, London, throughout April.

Further details of the roadshow can be found at www.lifequote.co.uk
