Keith Gilmour, the business development director at Sesame Bankhall Group, has left the company after less than a year in the role.

Gilmour, who joined from national IFA Positive Solutions in November 2010, has left to pursue business opportunities elsewhere.

Meanwhile, Sesame Bankhall has appointed David Kafetz as head of group sales, reporting to managing director for distribution Nick Kelly.

Kafetz, who will be responsible for leading the sales team across Sesame and Bankhall, joins from Intrinsic Financial Services, where he was strategic recruitment director.

Kelly said: "David has a great understanding and insight into the issues that adviser firms are facing whilst they adapt and build value in their business, as we enter the new RDR world."

Kafetz's appointment follows the arrival of Jon Dear, who joined earlier in 2011 as head of advisory services.
